About Me
Carol Ott is the director of Housing Policy Watch, a nonpartisan housing advocacy and research organization in Baltimore City. Our focus is middle-income rental development, blight eradication, and economic development in low- to middle-income neighborhoods in Baltimore. With her background in social media, communications, and economic development, she spends most of her time facilitating resident groups and connecting them to needed resources and programs, in order to improve their housing and retail opportunities. Carol is also the founder of the successful Baltimore Slumlord Watch project, an online effort to hold property owners accountable for the damaged caused to communities by their neglect.
